Joint hosts Austria and Switzerland qualify automatically

The championship will kick-off in summer 2008, with the first game taking place on 7 June 2008 at Basle's St Jakob Park.

The stadium, which opened in 2001 with a capacity of 33,433, will be boosted to 42,500 by the time Euro 2008 comes around.

The final will be held at the Ernst Happel Stadion in Vienna on 29 June.

The ground, which will have a capacity of 50,000, staged the 1964, 1987, 1990 and 1995 European Cup finals
