Turkey is for the first time in its history in the semi-finals of Euro, thanks to its success facing Croatia to score on penalty and win (1-1 after extension, 0-0 at the end of regular time) in the quarter-finals, Friday in Vienna
In semi-finals, the Turks will face Germany, Wednesday, June 25 in Basle. The last confrontation between the two teams in a major competition dates back to World Cup 1954.
The game was very undecided for a long time before switching to a minute from the end: A goal by Klasnic (119 min), just before an equalization from Semih (120 min) for the Turks before the final whistle.
The qualification has therefore been played on penalties which were missed by Croatia (first 2 players).
